India triumphed over South Africa in the final T20I, securing a 3-1 series win. Arshdeep Singh's early wickets crippled South Africa's chase of 284, while centuries from Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma propelled India to their highest-ever T20I score overseas.

After the explosive centuries from Sanju Samson and Tilak Varma and posing the highest team total (283) in South Africa, immaculate swing bowling helped India clinch the T20 series 3-1 at the Wanderers in Johannesburg on Friday.

Samson took 51 deliveries in an innings peppered with 6 fours and 8 sixes while Varma blasted his 100 in 41 deliveries with the help of 6 fours and 9 sixes.

Sanju Samson has become only the fourth batter to score consecutive hundreds in Twenty20 international cricket after he backstopped India’s 61-run win over South Africa in Durban.

Tilak Varma was involved in a 210-run stand off 86 deliveries for the second wicket with Sanju Samson. This was the highest partnership for any wicket for India in T20Is.

Sanju Samson was dismissed for a two-ball duck by Marco Jansen but India posted a huge total after a maiden international century from youngster Tilak Varma. Samson became the first Indian player to register consecutive ducks twice in a T20I career.
