Ryder shot a personal-best 62 in the second round of the 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship on Friday, and that’s with a bogey on his closing hole. He was nine shots better than his even-par round of 71 on the first day and he sits at 9 under, just three back of the lead with 36 holes to go.

Andrew Novak also shot a 62 on a day when the wind became ferocious toward the end of the round at Port Royal, with gusts topping 40 mph. Novak caught a break on the 18th when his tee shot was rolling back down a cart path and hopped onto the grass.

The 2024 Butterfield Bermuda Championship kicked off Thursday at Port Royal Golf Course, and scores were all over the place. Some golfers managed to shoot in the mid-60s while about as many shot in the mid 70s.
