Right-handed hitters struggled to hit home runs at Camden Yards over the past few years, so the Baltimore Orioles are moving the left field wall back in a bit.

After adjusting the left field dimensions at Oriole Park before the 2022 season, Baltimore will make alterations ahead of the 2025 campaign.

The Orioles last changed the dimensions of the left-field wall, moving it back, between the 2021 and 2022 seasons in an effort to pursue a more neutral and pitcher-friendly array at Camden Yards. At the time, Oriole Park was "extremely homer prone," as Elias put it.

For the Baltimore Orioles, it was mission accomplished when they altered the dimensions of Camden Yards to move in the left field fences, erect a higher wall and make life more pleasant for pitchers of all handedness before the 2022 season.

Orioles general manager Mike Elias announced in a news conference on Friday afternoon that the expanded left field fence dimensions will be changing after three seasons. The new fence will be somewhere in between where things used to be and where things are now.
